Post Menopause

The word menopause is used in popular culture to refer to the entire process of pre-menopause through post-menopause. Your doctor may be more precise and use one or more of the following terms:

The years after menopause. Postmenopause is the time after a woman’s menstrual periods have ceased completely. Women experience changes differently and the age-range of when women first become post-menopausal can vary between their late 40s to early 60s. During this stage, menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes, ease for most women. The loss of estrogen can create vaginal dryness, bladder incontinence and brainfog.
